Week 5 - Place-Based Studies, July 20-24:
This week we’ll learn about the history of our land and the people who have lived here. We'll use multiple materials to recreate art types that historical peoples used as forms of communication and expression. We’ll also spend time thanking the land through exploration and hiking, hypothesizing about changes, and creating inquiries and projects relevant to our community. Whether children live in the woods, farms, towns, urban areas or cities, they will leave feeling curious about their home and land.
This week ends in a culminating 2.5 miles hike on flat terrain to the Harriman Reservoir. Pick up on Friday will be offsite, about 7 minutes from our main location.
*No late care available Friday this week.
